Newday

Newday is a Christian camp hosted by Newfrontiers for around 7000 12-19 year olds, and since 2004 we have sent a bunch of our young people along to enjoy themselves and meet with God in a powerful way.

In 2004 and 2005 this was held at Newark with outreach teams going into Nottingham.  2006-08 saw Newday take over Uttoxeter Racecourse, working in Derby City Centre.  2009 saw Newday go to the Norfolk Showground for the first time, from the 1-7 August.

There is a huge marquee where there are concert-like worship meetings with fantastic and relevant teaching from the Bible.  There is also wide range of cafés and eateries, and activities like bumper cars, skating and remote control cars.

Our group has a great time each year: going to the worship meetings; playing football and cricket; eating bacon butties and just generally hanging out together.  This year we were camping with Crowborough Community Church and five visitors from Oregon, USA.  They even made it onto the video above!
