We meet at 10am every Sunday morning at Uckfield Civic Centre.
As you walk in the door you will be welcomed by a friendly face and a copy of the weekly news-sheet which will help you see what is happening that week. There’s also a dedicated welcome team that will help you find a seat and show you round.
There’s an informal atmosphere throughout our meetings, which usually start with 30-40 minutes of singing and prayer. We make a priority of expressing our thanks and praise to God. A modern style band plays contemporary worship songs in a variety of styles. The words are all projected on to a screen so you will be able to follow what’s happening.
Around 10.30 the children head out to separate groups. Click here to see more information about our children's work. We then listen to notices about future events and news from members.
On the first Sunday of each month, members bring financial gifts towards the work of the church. As church members we see this as part of our worship - there is no expectation on visitors to contribute.
We often share communion together as a church – bread and wine to remember the last supper that Jesus shared with his friends. Sometimes there are other events such as a baby's dedication or welcoming a new member.
The next portion of the meeting is the preaching of God's Word from the Bible. We aim to make this relevant for people in 21st century
We always provide an opportunity to pray for anyone who is unwell or in need of encouragement.
After every meeting we have an opportunity to chat over a cup of fresh filter coffee in the Luxford Lounge. This is a wonderful opportunity to get to know the people that make up the Church.
