We're starting to think of ideas for the Uckfield carnival float. We've been in it for the last few years, and it's great fun. I'm going to assume that we'll have a band again, and once the theme has been decided, we can start choosing some related songs. Last year the theme was the film "Love Actually", so the songs were pretty much chosen from the sound-track. I've heard two ideas so far, and one of them is almost assumed to be chosen. We'll have to wait for the "meeting".
We seem to have settled into doing two "churchy" songs, and four or five songs that the crowd will know. It seems to be a good balance. I missed the carnival last year, so I didn't get to be in the band. Hopefully I'll be allowed back, but I reckon Rob, who drummed instead, won't want to miss out. I'll have to see where I can fit in.
