Uckfield Festival

It's been a busy day today, doing things for the Uckfield Festival. We've been out on Luxford field as part of the big day out, painting faces and giving out drinks. Tonight we put on a free gig with Breez and Keith and the Marzipan Soldiers, who were very popular last year. Seems like it was a success.

Weekend Away

Last weekend almost all the church went away together, to Carroty Wood in Kent. The aim was to get to know each other better, and spend some quality time together, and both of these happened. I had a few conversations with people I hadn't met before, and spent time with some good friends.

For me, the highlight was the cabaret. We took turns to sing, act, juggle, dance and be musical. It was loads of fun. The food was really good - roast dinner for 90 people is an awesome task.

Someone bought a bubble making machine along, hence the picture.
