Nationalities

On Christmas day, Robert (our leader) asked some of our members what they do in their home countries for Christmas, which was interesting in itself, but what I found more interesting is the number of nationalities represented at church. I'll try and list them all here, but I'm bound to miss one. Please comment at the bottom if I have:

  1. Australia
  2. Cameroon
  3. England
  4. Germany
  5. Indonesia
  6. Ireland
  7. Norway
  8. South Africa
  9. Wales

Songs of Praise

No, not the televised one, but Uckfield's own "Songs of Praise" evening happened tonight at the United Reformed Church. Each church in town was invited to bring along a favourite song or hymn. Mel and I were the King's Church musicians - we brought our guitars along, and the other churches' choices were played by the organist. As our Sunday meetings are in the Civic Centre, we don't have an organ, so it was really nice to sing some rousing hymns with an organ for a change. I really enjoyed it. It was good meeting some new people from some of the other churches too.
