King’s Church Uckfield is a family and has a place for each and every person that comes along.
Our children are a valuable part of our church and we love to serve them by providing them with a safe environment where they can learn about and encounter God in a way that they can understand. We have in place a robust safeguarding policy, detailed guidelines and procedures, and a stringent application and induction process including a Disclosure and Barring Service Enhanced Disclosure (formerly CRB check).
On Sunday mornings we have groups for pre-school, primary-aged children and Years 7-11. These are tailored to the age of those in the group so that they have a great time growing in their faith and learning about God. Click here to find out more.
We also have a weekly youth group called 7Up which is for secondary school children. This is held at the Source on Civic Approach, 7-9pm on Fridays during term time.
The teenagers of the church also go away to a retreat in February and a camp in the summer called Newday and they also have a great time at the Catalyst Festival with their own dedicated sessions.
We also have our Under Ones and Over Ones groups which cater for 0-12 and 12-24 month children respectively held at the Foresters Hall on Thursdays.
Over Ones meet at 10am and Under Ones meet at 1pm. Both of these groups are free so just come along with your little one and enjoy a coffee and a chat with other parents and carers whilst they play with other children the same age. You are sure of a warm welcome and they will love being sociable with new-found friends.
In fact, both groups are so popular that we started a ‘Twos’ group in June 2016 following requests from many parents in the groups. This is held on Friday mornings, 9.45-11.15am at the Foresters Hall.
